After using all his creative genius expanding the Conjuring universe, James Wan is turning his focus to a new film The Curse of La Llorona. The new trailer for the eerie film just dropped and it really shows off the brooding cinematography that Wan encompasses in all of his films.
The Curse of La Llorona stars Linda Cardellini as a social worker in 1970s LA. She ignores the warning of a troubled mother that is suspected of child endangerment but it only allows La Llorona to grow ever closer to her own children. Her only hope to survive may be a priest and his strange practices to keep evil away.
Michael Chaves will make his feature debut after only previously directing a horror short called The Maiden. The film also stars Patricia Velasquez, Raymond Cruz and Sean Patrick Thomas whilst James Wan acts as the producer with Emile Gladstone and Gary Dauberman, who were the team behind the recent horror success IT.
